For sale is a Northwest coast carved and painted wild woman mask.
This mask is carved by Simon James (1969 -).
The wild woman mask is adorned with voluminous horse hair for hair, eyebrows, mustache, and beard.
The eyes, nose, and mouthed are pierced indicating it could have been used to dance with in a ceremony.
The measurements of this mask are 12″ L X 9″ W X 8″ D and in very good condition.
The writing inside is as follows: “Tsonoqua Wild Woman Simon James `88”
This is a wonderful addition to any Northwest Coast or Native American art collection.
