Description
For sale is an older African stool made by the Ashanti tribe of Ghana.
I believe it is early to mid 20th c. and does not have any chips or repairs.
This stool is 19” wide X 8″ deep X 8 1/2″ high and in very good condition for its age.
These traditional Ashanti stools are still used in some households today and are used to communicate with their ancestors.
The symbols in the carving convey messages and the stool will eventually house the spirit of the owner.
