For sale is a rare antique museum quality salted meat container with the lid.
This ethnographic object circa late 19th c. was used by the Ifugao Tribe from the Northern Philippines.
This meat container is made from narra wood which is a hardwood and as such it weighs over 9 pounds.
This old piece is in great condition for its age with stable age cracks which would be expected.
The measurements are 13″H x 27 1/2″ in circumference at the widest and the opening is 7 1/2″ in length.
